Its the new year, and my friends have their first immigration appointment tomorrow. The only thing not in hand now is the padron and sorting our driving licences.
More internet house searching going on. The viewing spreadhseet is getting ever and ever longer.
An interesting development though. Lisa from Move to Malaga contacted me to say that the BBC wanted to interview and film us for a spot on the BBC news about expats moving to Spain with Brexit. My friend and I decided to give it a whirl – our partners hid in the bedrooms and did not want to be on TV
Filming was an experience – it was battering down again. Spain had a few days of really bad weather – but not as bad as the UK apparently. They filmed us talking about the journey and our experiences since we had been here and took lots of film shots of the animals, particularly Barney the dog. I cannot say it was a good experience because it is not in my nauture to be a showman – I am more of a behind the scenes person – a watcher and quiet doer!
More bars and restaurants explored and visits to areas. More wood for the log burner as still very cold at night. We have given up completely on any underfloor heating and assumed it does not work.
